the history of McCanns

In 1865, Michael McCann, A stonemason, moved his family to the tiny hamlet of Castlejordan in the Midlands of Ireland, having won the contract to build the school and schoolmasters house.

120 years later, his great-grandson, John McCann, a Structural Engineer, formed his own company to design and build steel structures.

The McCann family has produced many craftsmen in the intervening years and today that proud tradition lives on.

McCanns now operate from modern premises set in the beautiful countryside on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, where structures of all types from staircases to complete buildings are designed and manufactured.
